About: Introducing the (then) new Green Dot mobile application, GO2bank, empowering users to effortlessly manage their finances at their fingertips. Our objective was to develop a seamless and intuitive customizable notification system, backed by a comprehensive set of requirements.

Challenge: Building upon our initial notifications design, our aim was to enhance support customization for various notification categories, spanning from billing inquiries to marketing updates.

Sandboxing: Initially, I compiled a list of potential categories to aid the project manager. It comprised of 13 customizable notification settings that users could manage. The categories was thoroughly discussed with business and engineering, along with marketing as well, and it was eventually approved.

Problem: engineering expressed concerns about the timeframe, realizing that the initially anticipated development and support would require more time than anticipated. Consequently, we reached a compromise by splitting up releases to accommodate these concerns.
Final: The team successfully rolled out a release featuring customizable notification settings. While it was not ideal to have reduced the list initially, the upcoming release will include the complete customizable notification settings.
